It’s a bloody good job we’ve already booked our place in the Greed League for next season. As I write this, Latics are preparing to take on Chelsea, a win for the Londoners would clinch them the Premier League title!
It seems the football world’s eyeballs will be on this game – if Latics manage to get something at Stamford Bridge and Man United beat Sjoke – it’ll be United who wins the title. All week has seen United fans begging us to beat Chelsea, as if I can do something about it! I cannot begin to tell you how much I utterly detest Manchester United. There are not a football club – they are an arrogant trademark.
So with all this in mind, I’m more than willing to allow a Latics draw – if only Stoke hold United! I would hate for United to win the title, so those ‘Wigan Red’ fuckwits can laud it over us again. I’ll never forget when they (cheated) to beat us to lift the title at the JJB two years ago and I saw some wanker in a United shirt in Chicago Rock (all of which you can read in my book - download link on the right!). I was sick and it wasn’t the shit ale! Now it’s in our hands – Chelsea or United? I know who I’ll choose.
Whatever happens – I hope we don’t disgrace ourselves. As mentioned – anybody with a passing intrest in football will be watching ‘Little’ Wigan tomorrow and I hope we do ourselves proud. We’ve had a lot of them in the past but this time around - I would take a heartbreaking, injury-time goal for Chelsea over United winning the title. I feel that strongly about it!
Obviously, if we had to win to stay up then my view on this would be totally different!
